Features

Playing

  • Isomorphic grid - Same chord shapes work in any key
  • 10 scales - Major, Minor, Pentatonic (Maj/Min), Dorian, Mixolydian, Harmonic Minor, Blues, Lydian, Phrygian
  • 4 row intervals - Minor 3rd, Major 3rd, Perfect 4th (default), Perfect 5th
  • Velocity sensitive with 4 curves (Linear, Soft, Hard, Fixed)
  • Aftertouch - Channel or Polyphonic mode
  • Scale lock - Block out-of-scale notes (also blocks aftertouch)

Navigation

  • Octave control - 0-10 range with visual indicator on right column
  • Scale transposition - ±7 scale degrees with visual indicator on bottom row
  • Quick reset - Press both octave or transpose buttons to reset

Configuration

  • 4 pages - Independent settings per page
  • Page copy - Hold source page, tap destination
  • Circle of fifths - Hold Circle button for root selection
  • Scale selection - Hold Double button with color-coded scales
  • Multi-channel MIDI - Send to multiple channels simultaneously
  • Setup mode - Configure MIDI channels, velocity curve, aftertouch mode

System

  • Factory reset - Hold Setup for 3 seconds
  • Flash persistence - Settings saved when exiting Setup mode
  • USB + DIN MIDI - Both outputs work simultaneously

Installation

  1. Download polyboard.syx
  2. Put Launchpad Pro in bootloader mode (hold Setup while connecting USB)
  3. Send the .syx file using a MIDI utility (e.g., SysEx Librarian, MIDI-OX)
  4. Launchpad will restart with PolyBoard
