What is PolyBoard?
Section titled “What is PolyBoard?”PolyBoard is open-source custom firmware for the Novation Launchpad Pro (original, not MK3). It turns your grid controller into a standalone MIDI keyboard with:
- Isomorphic note layout - consistent finger patterns across all keys
- 10 musical scales - Major, Minor, Pentatonic, Dorian, Blues, and more
- Visual scale feedback - see root notes, scale tones, and chromatic notes
- Scale transposition - shift patterns up/down within the scale
- 4 velocity curves - Linear, Soft, Hard, and Fixed response
- Per-page MIDI channels - route each page to a different instrument
